2021 EAS Planning Time is Here

Raining Virtue’s Director of Enterprise Application Services, John Carroll, shares some insights to planning for the future in today’s business environment.  “As you embark on planning for 2021, it’s essential to get a head start when looking at complex, large-scale enterprise application implementations.  We’ve seen time and again that considering a few steps up front will immensely improve the outcome of your project”

Fortify Your Business Case.  With so much uncertainty in today’s business environment, Capex budgets may well be tightened in 2021.  Establishing “business value” won’t be good enough for your project to be green lit.  Consider how to align your project to your organization’s top strategic goals AND take time to define the business case for your project’s ROI.

Plan for Business Process Changes.  Technology transformations often involve business process transformations.  While technology changes get much of the initial focus in planning, process reengineering often takes much longer than expected.  Hold kickoff meetings this year to start driving the discussion on process redesign.

Build a Council of Advisors.  Early on, leverage your network to obtain the experience and perspective that can help you fine tune your approach and address potential challenges early on.
