Information Security Engineer

The Sr. Information Security Engineer is involved in the full security life cycle in a multi-platform environment. This position is part of the Cybersecurity Delivery Team Operations and Engineering department. This role will assist in maintaining an efficient and secure enterprise infrastructure that offers uninterrupted service for our customers. The Sr Information Security Engineer is responsible for designing, engineering, and implementing risk appropriate solutions in response to business requirements as well as communicating expectations and working with vendors to meet project budgets and deadlines. This person will participate as an effective member of a passionate, highly skilled, collaborative team that supports information protection policies and meets all relevant compliance requirements.

 
Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain information security tool roadmap, including contributing to the development of day to day procedures, methods and programs.
  • Design and implement information security tools (IDS/IPS, Firewall, DLP, SIEM, Antivirus, VPN, Cloud security).
  • Perform advanced forensic investigations.
  • Create advanced and complex vulnerability remediation plans.
  • Generate innovative ideas to improve the efficacy and efficiency of the information security program.
  • “Blue team” or incident response background
  • Experience with Exabeam or Splunk
  • Create implementation plans for the innovative ideas and bring them to fruition.
  • Approve system designs from a security perspective.
  • Guide Engineer, Administrator and Technician positions for escalated support and act as a consultant to projects and business units.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business or equivalent work or educational experience required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in designing and maintaining information security infrastructure required
  • Ability to evaluate risk and communicate it in a fact-based manner.
  • Excellent conceptual, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills required.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (both written and verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills) required.
  • Be available on an on-call basis to respond to pending issues or problems arising during non-business hours and provide support and response.
  • Proficient verbal and written skills required to effectively communicate in the English language.
  • Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary.
